Creating Confident, Fluent & Independent Public Speakers
I am
Ziaur
Rehman
I am the author of The Confluent Speaker and have spent over 10 years working as a spoken English coach, helping learners build confidence and fluency in communication.
Today, my work focuses on showing learners — especially students from non-English medium backgrounds — how to practise English speaking with AI so they can become confident, fluent, and independent speakers.
We are living in the
ai age of education
We have entered a new age — where learning is no longer limited by classrooms or teachers. After 10+ years working as a spoken English coach, I have seen one challenge repeat again and again — especially among students from non-English medium backgrounds:
They understand English… but they rarely get enough speaking practice.
Today, AI is changing that reality.
AI has transformed not only how the world learns, but more importantly how we practise.
For anyone who dreams of speaking English confidently, this is a powerful moment.
Because with AI, speaking practice is always just one conversation away.

My Mission
The confluent speaker mission
Our mission is to guide students from non-English medium backgrounds become confident, fluent, and independent speakers.
Through the ideas shared in The Confluent Speaker and years of experience as a spoken English coach, I focus on one simple goal:
guiding learners how to practise English speaking with AI — using it as a daily source of conversation, feedback, and self-improvement.

MY WORK
My life is my experiment.
I don’t work from one place — I travel.
To colleges, NGOs, schools, offices, and communities across India.
Everywhere I go, I test how people practise speaking English with AI — how a simple conversation can unlock confidence, fluency, and independence.
This page documents that journey — real sessions, real learners, real progress.
It’s not a portfolio.
It’s a living diary of how India is learning to practise English speaking with AI — always updating, always evolving.

”
India is the youngest country in the world.
Millions are entering colleges and jobs where English remains the gatekeeper. This reality is especially visible for students from non-English medium backgrounds — talented, capable learners who understand English but often hesitate to speak.
At the same time, India stands at the front of the global AI wave.
If we combine the two — English speaking and AI practice — we unlock something historic:
a generation that learns to practise speaking with AI and becomes confident, fluent, and independent communicators for life.

ai FOR ENGLISH
ai for india
We are standing in the middle of a global turning point. Artificial Intelligence has arrived, not slowly, but like a flood. It is already writing essays, drafting emails, simulating conversations, translating languages. In countries across the world, students are using AI every day to study and practice.
But in India, the story has a special edge.
Here, English is not just a subject — it is a gatekeeper. To get a job, to sit in an interview, to go abroad, to speak in a seminar — English often decides who gets heard and who is left behind.
At the exact same time, millions of Indians are curious about AI, using it quietly on their phones and laptops. They ask it for translations, essays, sometimes even jokes. But very few have been shown the deeper power: that AI can be their personal coach for communication.
This overlap — India’s hunger for English and the arrival of AI — is why Confluent Speaker mission exists.
My Vision
what is confluent?
Confluent is a word I created by combining three ideas — Confident, Fluent, and Independent.
Over the years, I noticed something:
Some people are confident, but not fluent.
Some are fluent, but not confident.
And some manage both — yet still depend on a teacher, a class, or someone else to tell them if they’re “right.”
To me, being Confluent means bringing all three together —
to be confident and fluent through independence,
and that independence today comes from knowing how to practise English speaking with AI every day, anywhere.
CONFIDENT
I’ve met thousands of learners who knew the grammar, the words, even the accent — yet still stayed silent.
They didn’t need more knowledge; they needed a way to practise until speaking felt natural.
That’s why confidence became the first word in Confluent —
because nothing begins until you believe you can speak,
and that belief is built only through practice — one conversation at a time.
FLUENT
Many people speak boldly but can’t flow — they pause, translate, search for words.
Fluency gives shape to confidence. It turns hesitation into rhythm and makes your thoughts move freely in English.
That’s why it became the second word — the bridge between courage and clarity.
And fluency isn’t built by reading more; it’s built by practising daily conversations, using AI as your mirror, your partner, your space to speak without fear.
INDEPENDENT
I never wanted learners to depend on tutors forever.
I wanted them to stand on their own — to practise, reflect, and improve using AI as a partner, not a master.
That’s why Independence is the final word in Confluent.
It completes the circle — where confidence begins the journey, fluency gives it flow,
and practice with AI turns learning into lasting freedom.
